Starting May 12, for the 2026-2027 academic year, interview commissions have begun assessing children's oral speech skills for admission to 1st grade in Russian sections of general education institutions.

The assessment considers the child's ability to understand what they hear, communicate, and express thoughts simply.

Parents of children who pass the interview can select schools and teachers via their personal account. Each child can participate only once. The interview is recorded on video, and parents are allowed to attend.

Results are sent via SMS to the parent's registered mobile number at the end of the day.
