Fish market is experiencing price hikes. According to sellers, compared to previous months, both variety and some fish types have become more expensive.
The most affordable fish is farel, priced between 11-12 manat per kilogram. Other fish types are priced higher.
While some buyers complain about high prices, others find them reasonable.
Economist Khalid Karimli attributes the price increase to rising transportation and storage costs, as well as higher fish farming expenses.
Additionally, events in Iran are impacting the market. Disruptions in imports from Iran are causing further price increases.
The economist stated that no price drop is expected in the coming months for meat and fish products; instead, prices will continue to rise.
