Heavy rain on April 6 caused serious damage in Garajalli village, Khachmaz district. The Alpan River overflowed, flooding the house of resident Mais Dashdamirov.
Mais Dashdamirov contacted Baku TV's hotline: “The house was filled with water up to one meter. Refrigerator, TV, washing machine were ruined. The house sank about 30-40 cm, doors and windows won't close, walls are crumbling. The Ministry of Emergency Situations set up a tent in the yard, but I can't stay in damp conditions due to illness. We currently live in a rented house. Our family has four members; two sons are in military service. Despite repeated appeals, no official act has been drawn up.”
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that, in accordance with a letter from the Cabinet of Ministers dated May 25, 2026, technical inspections of damaged houses will be conducted based on the list provided by the Khachmaz District Executive Power, and appropriate measures will be taken.
