A well-known teacher in Azerbaijan, Gasim Aliyev, has passed away.
He was a resident of Ashagi Hamzali village in Gubadli district. According to social media reports, Aliyev died after a long illness.
Aliyev taught Azerbaijani language and literature. He was the father-in-law of Colonel Shukur Hamidov, a National Hero of Azerbaijan. Hamidov was killed in action on October 22, 2020, during battles in the Gubadli direction and is buried in the II Alley of Honor.
