After continuous rains, the ground is collapsing under houses in Khatai district. Backyard areas have formed large pits, and even one kitchen has fallen into a collector.
The incident was recorded at Tofig Hajibabayev Street, 88. Residents say that after heavy rains, collapses appeared in yards along the street. Recently, deep wells have formed in almost all yards.
Residents claim that houses were not built on top of the collector, but the collector was installed later, causing the collapses. They have appealed to relevant authorities.
The United Water Supply Service of Large Cities stated that the load from buildings on the collector caused an accident. They emphasized that construction in protection zones is illegal. The Baku Water Canal Authority has inspected the area.
