This year, pilgrims will travel for Hajj on a total of 7 planes.
According to Oxu.Az, this was announced by Vusal Jahangiri, head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) and head of the Hajj electronic system.
Vusal Jahangiri said that two planes are scheduled to carry pilgrims on the Baku-Jeddah route daily, one at 06:50 AM and the other at 05:50 PM:
"Each plane will carry 180 pilgrims, divided into four groups of 45. The first plane will depart on May 17 at 06:50 AM, with two planes on May 18 and 19. The last, 7th plane will fly to Jeddah on May 21 in the morning. Those traveling on that plane will return from Jeddah to Baku on May 31. Other groups will return from Medina on June 6, 7, and 9, with two planes per day.
Thus, the last pilgrim is expected to arrive home after midnight on June 10."
Recall that for the 2026 Hajj season, the pilgrimage package price per person was set at 6,100 USD.
