Today marks the remembrance of AzTV operator Siraj Abishov and AZERTAC correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov, who died in a landmine explosion in Kelbajar.
The photographer who captured their image a day before the tragedy, Rashad Mehdiyev, shared his memories.
"Photos taken one day apart... June 4, 2021, around 11 AM, Susuzluq village. No one could have imagined. One of hundreds of thousands of mines was triggered."
The explosion killed Siraj, Maharram, and Arif Aliyev. Others were injured.
The photographer's archive images are published for the first time.
