Baku TV's show "O vaxtlar" featured honored engineer Fuad Taghi-zade.
He shared childhood memories in Baku, his grandfather's repression, and his career in metro construction.
His grandfather Mammadali Mollayev was arrested in 1937 and executed: "They labeled him a pan-Turkist and pan-Islamist, declaring him an enemy of the revolution."
A graduate of the Polytechnic Institute, Taghi-zade worked for many years on the Baku Metro. Initially only 12 stations existed, and tunnels were dug by hand: "I dedicated 42 years to the metro. It is our future."
His wife Narmina Taghi-zade also participated, sharing her grandmother's advice: "A girl's bed should never be seen by anyone."
