Hungary's MATE University may open branch in Azerbaijan

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov announced that Hungary's MATE University is interested in opening a branch in Azerbaijan.

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov announced that Hungary's MATE University is interested in opening a branch in Azerbaijan.

The minister stated that the expansion of double degree programs is planned. Cooperation between Oklahoma University, Turkish universities and Azerbaijani higher education institutions is being expanded.

This will contribute to the training of personnel in the agricultural sector in accordance with international standards.

Majnun Mammadov spoke at a public hearing held at the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy.

He noted that the Agrarian College under the Agrarian University has started its activity and will play an important role in training agricultural personnel.

The minister emphasized that there is a serious need for specialists in livestock. Some of the existing specialists are of high age group.

In recent years, interest in agricultural education has increased, but awareness work continues.
