Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva stated that in Karabakh and East Zangezur, not only roads and buildings are being rebuilt, but also trust, opportunities, and daily life are being restored.
These remarks were made at the 9th meeting of the CICA Youth Council. Hajiyeva noted that Azerbaijan is constructing nine new cities and hundreds of villages in post-conflict zones.
"We believe every community deserves to not only recover but also thrive. Through green energy, digital innovation, and people-centered urban planning, we are reimagining how people live, work, learn, and develop," she added.
Currently, nearly 85,000 people reside, work, and study in these restored areas. She stressed that preserving cultural heritage and strengthening social cohesion are integral to sustainable development.
"When youth are trusted as partners, they bring solutions, creativity, and urgency. City development is not just about infrastructure; it's about people and dignity," Hajiyeva concluded.
