On June 8, the State Committee for Religious Associations will start the interview stage for vacant positions in Islamic worship sites.
The first stage on June 8-9 is for female religious ritual performers. The second stage from June 10-19 covers imams, deputy imams, and muezzins.
From January 26 to February 25, 2026, applications for 62 vacancies were received from 230 candidates, including 64 women.
Interviews will be held at the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology. Results will be posted daily on scara.gov.az.
Successful candidates will be appointed only to the positions they applied for.
