The date for the election of the new director of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (ITV) has been announced.
According to Oxu.Az citing "Yeni Sabah", the election will be held on May 25.
The new director will be determined by voting at a meeting of the Broadcasting Council.
The chairman of the Broadcasting Council of the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company is academician Teymur Karimli.
The council includes Hasan Jafarov, Azer Aliyev, Azer Hasrat, Vugar Zeynalov, Salman Musayev, Sevil Yusifova, Hajar Khanim Babayeva, and Rashad Rasullu. These individuals will elect the new ITV director.
Recall that 11 candidates submitted their documents to the Audiovisual Council for the position of ITV director. They are as follows:
- Ayhan Ahmadov Abdulkari oglu
- Tural Azimov Gurbat oglu
- Tural Mammadzade Sahib oglu
- Arzu Gulamov Aydin oglu
- Ilhama Bakhshiyeva Rafiq gizi
- Fikrat Mammadov Ali oglu
- Balakishi Gasimov Alakbar oglu
- Taleh Shahsuvarov Novruz oglu
- Anar Nagiyev Alishah oglu
- Ilaha Aliyeva Khudu gizi
- Ali Jafarov Sujaddin oglu
Note that the director is elected for a 4-year term. The current director is Balakishi Gasimov.
