Lawyer Farid Hasanov met with TikToker Ilduza Hajiyeva, known as "Arzum 9999", at the Baku Detention Center.
According to Oxu.Az, the defense attorney stated that Hajiyeva feels fine and has no health issues. She is being held with several other people in a cell: "The conditions are good, she has no complaints. She is also satisfied with how she is treated."
During the meeting, Ilduza Hajiyeva told her lawyer that she considers the Khazar District Court's verdict illegal, baseless, and unfair: "She said she did not expect such a decision. She is still in shock. The other detainees in her cell are also surprised. Everyone tells her that women are not jailed for traffic accidents, especially suspicious crashes, in Azerbaijan. Imposing such a sentence on a mother of four is unprecedented."
Farid Hasanov noted that the TikToker's children are currently being cared for by their grandparents. Her husband, a German citizen, is expected to arrive in Azerbaijan in the coming days.
