Within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), the Kenyan representative was impressed by Azerbaijan's housing policy and urban planning work in Baku.
Jacquelyne Chege, an urban planning expert from Kenya, stated in an interview with Oxu.Az that she plans to apply the experience gained from the forum in her country.
“The work done in housing and urban planning in Azerbaijan, especially in Baku, is truly remarkable. Both the construction of affordable housing and the reflection of local culture in architecture caught our attention,” she emphasized.
Chege noted that Kenya also needs to develop affordable housing projects using low-cost construction materials: “We want to apply what we saw in Baku in our country.”
She congratulated the President of Azerbaijan, relevant state bodies, and the organizing committee for the high-level organization of the forum: “I am sure I will leave Baku with very beautiful impressions.”
