Customs officers at the Balakan Customs Department have seized a large amount of marijuana during a routine inspection, removing it from illegal circulation.
According to Oxu.Az, at the "Mazimqara" customs post, a vehicle carrying a "watermelon" cargo from Iran to Georgia was scanned using a stationary X-ray device.
Suspicious outlines were detected in the cargo, prompting a thorough inspection. With the help of a sniffer dog, hidden packaging was discovered under the watermelon boxes.
In total, 110 kilograms and 300 grams of marijuana were seized and confiscated.
