Azerbaijan library internet access is 4 times below international norm. Official data shows only 20% coverage.

Currently, 411 libraries in Azerbaijan have internet access. This is four times lower than the international standard.

Deputy Minister of Culture Farid Jafarov stated that internet coverage is only 20%. The International Federation of Library Associations targets at least 80%.

KOHA system is implemented in 76 libraries, which is only 4% of all libraries.
