MEDIA announces journalist competition

The Media Development Agency (MEDIA) has announced a competition for journalists.

Applications and documents are submitted electronically via the mib.media.gov.az portal.

Main requirement: submit a material published in the last 3 months. Nominations: best reportage, analysis, interview, culture material, column, investigation, essay. For audiovisual media: political, socio-economic, thematic reportage.

Evaluation is conducted by 3 independent experts. Winners: 5 journalists per nomination, plus 5 journalists and 5 operators for video nominations.

Application deadline: May 20, 2026, 18:00.
