Minister Fires Fire Station Chief

Ziya Afsarov, head of the Sheki fire station, was dismissed by the Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov. Abdulla Abdullayev is the new acting chief.

Ziya Afsarov, head of the Sheki Regional Fire Protection Unit of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), has been dismissed from his post.

According to Oxu.Az citing Qaynarinfo, Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov signed the order.

Abdulla Abdullayev has been appointed as the acting head of the Fire Protection Unit. The MES stated that Ziya Afsarov was relieved of his duties some time ago. It is noted that Colonel Ziya Afsarov had been the head of the Sheki Regional Fire Protection Unit since 2020.
