Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov announced new goals in aquaculture and fisheries.
He emphasized that biodiversity is crucial for human well-being, food security, and climate stability. Protecting fish resources is of strategic importance.
150 thousand sturgeon juveniles will be released into the Caspian Sea. This number will increase to 500 thousand in the coming months. In autumn, 50 thousand salmon juveniles will be released into inland waters.
The minister stressed that biodiversity conservation is not only an environmental and agricultural issue but also a responsibility to future generations.
