Micromobility lanes have been established on Shafayat Mehdiyev Street and Vagif Avenue in Baku.
Oxu.Az reports that the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency released information about this.
It was noted that previously created lanes on Matbuat Avenue have been extended to the intersection with Akim Abbasov Street. Relevant markings have been carried out. Road signs and safety barriers will be installed in the coming days.
In the next phase, a new micromobility lane on Akim Abbasov Street will ensure circular traffic. The lanes on Vagif Avenue are planned to be connected to the bike lane in Ataturk Park in the future.
Within the city concept, the micromobility lane network will be expanded. The goal is to make micromobility vehicles a primary mode of transport for short-distance trips.
