Since October 2025, the Azerbaijan Urban Planning Campaign has reached over 6,000 young people across the country. The goal was to go beyond Baku and explain urban planning concepts to youth in regions and rural areas.

Maleyka Taghizade, Chief Advisor at UN-Habitat, stated this at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

The project is built on the principle of "leaving no one behind," promoting inclusive communities. As a result of practical workshops, 7 out of 25 participants received permanent job offers.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the report "Voices of Youth from Azerbaijani Cities" is being prepared. This document will reflect the views of 6,000 participants and be presented at WUF13.
