A major new housing project is underway in Lachin city. The "New Residential Complex" will expand housing stock and create job opportunities for locals.
According to Oxu.Az, the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Lachin district released the information.
Preparatory and mobilization work has started. The construction period is set at 24 months. Currently, vertical planning and site preparation are being carried out.
The new complex, covering 57,470 square meters, is designed in line with Lachin's urban concept. It will include sports fields, children's playgrounds, conversation areas, green zones, and recreation spaces.
A total of 19 multi-apartment buildings will be built: 11 with two blocks and 8 with one block. The buildings will be 3, 4, and 5 stories high, comprising 340 apartments.
Apartment types are tailored to different family sizes: 57 one-room, 122 two-room, 98 three-room, 44 four-room, and 19 five-room apartments.
Basements are designed as parking lots. The ground floors of 10 buildings will host commercial spaces, plus a separate retail facility.
A total of 3,500 square meters are allocated for trade and services, fostering new business initiatives and additional jobs.
Local residents will be prioritized for employment during construction. The winning contractor is recommended to use local labor resources.
The project is part of Lachin's large-scale restoration program. It will modernize living conditions, boost economic activity, and improve residents' well-being.
