A major project is underway in Baku. A new road connection is being created between Academician Hasan Aliyev Street and the "Koroglu" metro station.
Fariz Azizov, advisor to the Chairman of the State Agency for Highways, said that about 50% of the project is complete. The project is being implemented on one of the most congested transport corridors in the city.
The project includes four tunnels, underpasses, and pedestrian crossings. The goal is to create alternative routes, reduce traffic load on main avenues, and improve mobility.
Azizov emphasized that a modern city should be designed for people. Pedestrian safety and accessibility are top priorities.
Tunnels connecting the Chinarlar residential complex with surrounding streets are examples of this approach. All projects are integrated into a unified metro mobility system.
