You save hard or take a bank loan to buy an apartment in a new building. But years pass, and you cannot get the title deed. Legally, you live in your own home as a guest.
According to Baku TV, the issue concerns a residential building at 34 Mir Jalal Street, 4th microdistrict, Nasimi district, built by "Atlas" MTK.
Residents say the building has been in use for over six years, but no title deeds have been issued. They were promised quick deeds when buying.
Allegedly, the project was approved for 16 floors, but two extra floors were built. This prevents the building from being accepted for operation.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that construction was based on a permit issued to "Atlas Plaza" LLC. However, the company deviated from the approved project and built extra floors, so the readiness certificate was not formalized.
The agency noted that the current state must be agreed with state bodies, and permits for additional construction must be obtained. Then the issue of acceptance for operation can be considered.
