In Jalilabad region, during the Eid al-Adha holiday, an official of the district executive authority was punished for sending unfit meat to martyrs' families.
According to Oxu.Az, Fizuli Jafarov, head of the sector for organizing work with war participants and families of martyrs of the Jalilabad District Executive Authority, was reprimanded.
Notably, the incident occurred during the Eid al-Adha days. The Jalilabad District Executive Authority confirmed that the meat in the sacrificial share delivered to one of the families of martyrs was unfit for consumption.
Fizuli Jafarov confirmed the fact in a statement to Oxu.Az. He said that the head of the executive authority gave him a reprimand: "Such an incident occurred. There are 267 families of martyrs in Jalilabad region. I sent sacrificial meat to each of them. For 2-3 families living in remote villages, the meat was spoiled. It was due to the butcher's mistake. The butcher packed the meat in plastic bags and tied them in hot weather. The meat spoiled before reaching the remote village. The claim that the meat was wormy is false, but the meat was spoiled. The families complained, the executive representative informed me, and I immediately replaced the meat. I returned the beef and sent fresh ram meat. That is why I received a reprimand from the head of the executive authority."
