Residents of Hafiz Bakhish Street in Sumgait city appealed to Baku TV's hotline.
According to them, several power poles in the area are in disrepair and pose a serious threat.
"We have been applying for a year, both verbally and in writing. But our complaint is not being addressed. There were overloads in the power grid. Last year, a transformer was installed in the area, power poles were replaced, lines were laid and connected. Then a problem occurred on the line. On the corner, the traverse of a communication pole is connected to the power line. The pole is also bent. If this pole falls, it will knock down communication poles and damage power lines," said one resident.
In response, Azerishiq OJSC stated that the company is carrying out major repairs and reconstruction work in the area of Sumgait Electric Network, as in the regions. On the mentioned street, 0.4 kV power poles have been replaced and self-supporting insulated wires have been installed.
It was noted that during the reconstruction of the 0.4 kV grid, the norms and principles of electrical installation rules were followed. According to the rules, the distance between poles on 0.4 kV overhead lines is usually 30-45 meters.
