Fuad Baghirov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Green Building Council, spoke at an event within WUF13.

He stated that one building in the White City area of Baku has been certified. Currently, mechanisms are awaited.

Baghirov noted that Azerbaijan faces freshwater scarcity, while Georgia has abundant water resources.

Local certification systems should be emphasized for sustainable development. The BEC system is being developed for this purpose.

Traditional architectural approaches should be combined with modern materials, especially using local materials.
