Our compatriot Ramiz Ansarov elected mayor of Orhei, Moldova, with 58% of votes in the second round.

Our compatriot Ramiz Ansarov, living in Moldova, has been elected mayor of Orhei city. He won the second round of the election according to preliminary results.

Oxu.Az reports, citing AZERTAC, that Ramiz Ansarov himself announced this. In the second round held on May 31, more than 58% of voters voted in his favor.

Note that in the first round of the Orhei mayoral election on May 17, Ramiz Ansarov received the most votes among the candidates.

Born on April 12, 1987, in Chisinau, R. Ansarov is originally from Western Azerbaijan. His father was born and raised in the Barana (Noyemberyan) district. Later, his family moved to Baku. The father of four sons, R. Ansarov is active in the socio-political life of Moldova. He also contributes to the development of the diaspora as vice-president of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova.
