More than 9,000 calls were made to emergency medical services during the holidays. The Republican Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid Center reported this in response to a query.
The center operated in an enhanced mode. From May 27 to May 31, 2026, a total of 9,592 calls were recorded in Baku.
Of these, 899 people were hospitalized, while others received necessary assistance on site. The busiest day was May 28 with 2,061 calls and 190 hospitalizations.
Main reasons included high blood pressure, various injuries, digestive issues, cardiac and respiratory diseases.
