Work at the "Ana-bala" park in Yeni Gunashli settlement, Surakhani district of Baku, has sparked discontent among residents. According to Baku TV, although the fenced area was promised to become a park, locals claim a multi-story building is being constructed.
One resident stated: "They faked photos saying there would be a park. All residents are fed up; it feels like construction is happening inside our homes."
The Surakhani District Executive Power said repair and restoration work is underway and the park will be available soon. The part designated for construction is private property and preparations are being made with permission from the State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee. That area has no connection to the park.
