The State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) has clarified the issue of fees for special use of water objects, addressing citizens' questions.
According to the agency, fees are required only for water abstraction, discharge of wastewater, or use of water areas related to business activities.
Citizens can use water objects for personal needs such as beach use, boating, sports, amateur fishing, and livestock watering free of charge.
Landowners in areas without centralized water supply can drill and use wells from the first unconfined aquifer for their own needs without permission or payment.
Fees will be applied from September 1, 2026. For industrial purposes, 100 cubic meters of water from the Caspian Sea costs 0.4 manats, from rivers and lakes 4 manats, and from groundwater 40 manats.
