Honored Art Worker, poet Yusif Hasanbey has died at the age of 93.
Rauf Aslanov, advisor to the chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, reported the news.
Hasanbey suffered from cancer. He was admitted to Baku Health Center the day before.
He was born on December 26, 1932, in Guba, Azerbaijan.
He worked as a literary editor at the Azerbaijan State Music Publishing House, and as a literary worker and translator for Bakı newspaper. He studied poetry at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Moscow. Since 1994, he served as chairman of the Guba regional branch of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union.
