The professional holiday of police officers was solemnly celebrated in Absheron district.
The event held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Khirdalan city was attended by district officials, police chiefs, families of martyrs, and members of the public.
Participants first laid flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and honored his memory.
After the national anthem and a minute of silence, a documentary video about police activities was shown.
Head of the Executive Authority Abdin Farzaliyev emphasized the role of police in maintaining stability in the country. He noted that police have always been at the forefront both during war and peacetime.
A group of police officers were awarded honorary certificates at the event.
Later, a concert program was presented with the participation of famous artists.
