One of the main topics attracting the attention of foreign guests visiting Azerbaijan within WUF13 is the restoration and reconstruction work in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. The infrastructure destroyed as a result of Armenian vandalism during the occupation is being rapidly restored.

Samir Abdullayev, tourism guide for Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur and project manager of "SIMA" Public Union, told Oxu.Az that the creation of new settlements, construction of buildings, and resettlement of the population attract the interest of foreign guests.

"We recently visited Karabakh with officials from Turkey. They also familiarized themselves with the ongoing work," he added. Notably, architects invited from abroad are restoring buildings and monuments in their original style. Moreover, the "smart village" concept is being implemented in Karabakh.
