The Cabinet of Ministers has approved restrictions on individual heating systems in new multi-apartment buildings. According to the new rules, individual heating will only be allowed in buildings up to 5 floors, in areas without gas supply, or when powered by renewable energy sources.
Experts note that the changes apply only to newly designed buildings. Existing buildings will retain their combi boilers. However, the shift to centralized heating in new constructions will increase construction costs.
In the long term, these changes will lead to safer and more energy-efficient buildings. In the short term, housing prices are expected to rise.
