When the Zangilan district was occupied, I was 28 years old. I left the area with my parents. Today, I am returning to my homeland with my grandchildren.
This was stated by Maya Safarova, a former internally displaced person returning to Zangilan.
She said she had been eagerly awaiting this day with her parents:
There can be no happier day for us. May God have mercy on our martyrs and grant health to our veterans. Thank God we are returning to our homeland. May God protect our President. Thanks to him, our lands are liberated today. My parents were also waiting for this day with me. But unfortunately, they did not live to see it. Along with our gains, we also have losses.
