In Khirdalan city, the road surface on Hasan Aliyev Street is in poor condition, causing difficulties for drivers.
The situation worsens during rainy weather. Even in normal weather, the road is constantly covered with water. Drivers face great difficulty passing through.
One resident said: 'The smell makes it impossible to stay in the area. The roads seriously damage our cars every time. We don't know who to complain to.'
Another citizen added: 'The situation is very bad. We see the same scene every day. Traffic jams are endless, and no one cares about fixing the road. We are tired of this.'
The representative of Absheron District Executive Power stated that repair work was carried out on the street earlier this year. However, recent heavy rains activated groundwater, washing away the road layer and creating small pits. The relevant authority has been informed, and work will begin in the coming days.
It was also noted that Hasan Aliyev Street is part of the Pirshagi-Novkhani-Khirdalan-M4 highway project. Therefore, major reconstruction is not considered expedient. The new road is planned to be put into use by 2026-2027. Nevertheless, current repair works will be carried out soon.
