Expert Zakir Guliyev from the Ministry of Health has revealed the safest hours to go to the sea.
According to him, the safest times are from 08:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 16:00 to 19:00 in the evening. UV rays are most intense between 11:00 and 16:00, increasing the risk of sunstroke and burns.
He recommends staying in the shade, drinking plenty of fluids, wearing light-colored clothing, a hat, and UV-protective sunglasses. Sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher should be applied 20-30 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every two hours or after swimming.
Children, elderly, pregnant women, and people with cardiovascular diseases should avoid direct sun during peak hours.
