Former chairman of Nakhchivan Television, journalist Sahil Tahirli, has been appointed to a new position at Space TV.
According to Oxu.Az, Tahirli has been named head of the News department.
Before this appointment, he served as a media and public relations advisor at the "Hedef" Group of Companies.
Tahirli led Nakhchivan Television for 13 years and also served as head of the Press and Public Relations department at the Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly and chairman of the Nakhchivan Television and Radio Council.
He was awarded the "Progress" medal for his contributions to media development.
It is worth noting that last month Ayaz Mustafayev was appointed as the new general director of Space TV. Along with the formation of new management, reforms are ongoing to improve governance and adapt activities to modern media challenges.
