The seat belt is a life-saver, but the law allows exceptions.

Today's topic of Oxu.Az's "What does the law say?" section: who can skip the belt?

According to the Law on Road Traffic, the following persons may not wear a seat belt:

  • Children under 12
  • Pregnant women
  • Drivers reversing
  • Learner driver and instructor
  • Drivers and passengers of emergency vehicles in residential areas
