On June 13, the 2nd International BBQ Festival began in the village of Meyseri, Shamakhi.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tahir Mammadov, head of Shamakhi District Executive Authority, stated that the festival features renowned chefs from various countries around the world.
He emphasized that such festivals not only provide pleasant moments for guests but also showcase Shamakhi's hospitality.
Famous Georgian chef Guram Bogdashvili highlighted the importance of preserving traditions in his speech. He expressed his delight at being in Azerbaijan, particularly in Shamakhi, noting that this was his first visit to the city and that it was a special moment for him.
The festival, aimed at cultural exchange and the expansion of gastronomic tourism, features spectacular BBQ presentations and delicious examples of world cuisine.
As last year, this year's International BBQ Festival includes chefs representing various countries: Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Denmark, France, Georgia, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Japan.
The participating chefs have多年的 culinary experience, having worked in renowned restaurants in different countries and won numerous awards at major festivals.
Fun competitions are held in the culinary zones within the festival area, while pavilions representing restaurants offer opportunities to learn about the cuisines of different cultures, expand communication among participants, and taste various dishes.
Both days of the festival, where flavors, friendship, and outdoor entertainment come together, are rich with interesting events.
The first day of the culinary celebration, which coincides with the weekend, began with a parade of chefs through the festival area. Participating chefs and guests greeted the audience with a special parade, creating a true culinary atmosphere.
In the "BBQ and Kebab" duel, international BBQ masters and local kebab masters competed. This "battle of flavors" became one of the most exciting shows of the festival. Chefs presented different flavors with their unique recipes and cooking techniques, while the audience witnessed this entertaining culinary confrontation.
A cooking competition was also held between culinary enthusiasts and professional chefs. Dishes prepared were evaluated by a professional jury, and the winner of the day was determined.
In the evening, a musical program was presented.
The festival will continue on June 14. The second day will be remembered for delicious presentations and entertainment. In the "Steak Show," chefs will cook steaks using their unique methods, sharing their culinary secrets, cooking techniques, and special tips with the audience. The musical program will make the festival even more colorful.
Thus, over two days, the village of Meyseri will become a place of delicious food and sincere communication.
It should be noted that the festival is organized with the support of Shamakhi District Executive Authority, Nasimi Gardens Complex, and "Abqora" restaurant, with main sponsorship from "Azersun Holding" and "Coca-Cola Azerbaijan," and official partnership from "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC, "Premium Meat," and "Baku Medical Plaza."
