Countries should build "smart" buildings to reduce energy costs, said Bojan Bogdanovic, Lead Energy Efficiency Specialist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
He spoke at the World Urban Forum (WUF13) during a session on green affordable housing.
"We need to build smart, accessible homes that reduce energy consumption and costs. This will help cities develop resiliently against crises," Bogdanovic stated.
EBRD's motto is "We invest to change lives." The bank aims to implement scalable, investment-attractive projects based on good ideas.
