New details have emerged in the case of Murad Kazimzade, accused of killing his mother in Astara.
The incident occurred on August 22, 2025. During lunch, Murad became enraged after perceiving his mother Mahabbat Gasimova's response as sarcastic.
He grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her repeatedly. His grandparents were also in the kitchen at the time.
After the murder, Murad hid in a reed bed but was later arrested by police.
In court, he pleaded guilty but refused to testify. During investigation, he cited tense relations with his mother.
Murad expressed no remorse. He was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months in prison.
