WUF13 is very important for us, especially for Africa. We are very happy to be here in Azerbaijan and are very grateful to this country for hosting such an important event.

This was stated by South African professor Mphilo Ngubane in an interview with Oxu.Az.

We believe that this forum is extremely significant for people living in very harsh conditions, especially on our continent - Africa. We trust that this conference will help progress in resolving all issues related to the formation of formal settlements and providing people with decent housing.

The professor also highly appreciated the level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and South Africa.

I must say that the level of relations between our countries is very good. We have been warmly welcomed here in Azerbaijan and have established many connections. I believe that Azerbaijan is a good country to host such events, and this will have a positive impact on the country's population in the future.

Mphilo Ngubane also spoke about the most promising construction technologies today.

In our country, we have implemented blockchain. Blockchain is very important as part of new technologies in housing construction because it allows the construction of a large number of houses in a short period. We call on countries to adopt similar technologies because they will help solve problems such as informal settlements and poor living conditions.

There are many challenges in ensuring the future of safe cities, but in my opinion, the biggest problem is homelessness, and we must solve it together.
