Residents of the 7th microdistrict in Bineqedi have been suffering from a sewage problem for years. The foul smell from the basement makes life unbearable.
According to residents at 3A Abay Kunanbay Street, wastewater flows into the basement. Despite repeated appeals to the Bineqedi District Executive Authority and the sewage department, the issue remains unresolved.
Reported by Baku TV, one resident said: "The sewage system is old, and the stench makes it impossible to stay home."
Another resident added: "The smell reaches the third floor. It is a serious health hazard. Officials come and fix minor issues but don't clean the accumulated water."
The Executive Authority stated that the Sukanal department has been contacted. Soon, a special team will inspect the basement lines. If any leakage is found, repairs will be made and wastewater removed.
