The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has appealed to the public regarding windy and rainy weather conditions.
According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, rainy weather will persist until the evening of June 28 in several regions. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, heavy rain, flooding, mudflows, lightning, and strong winds are expected.
MES reminds of safety rules: stay away from hazardous areas to avoid flooding and mudflows, move to higher ground, and follow rescuers' instructions. To protect from lightning, disconnect electrical devices, avoid phone calls, and stay away from tall trees and metal structures.
During strong winds, avoid lightweight structures, billboards, and power poles. Strictly follow fire safety rules, do not swim in the sea, and do not take small vessels out to sea.
