The condition of a woman whose skin peeled after eating strawberries in Baku has been revealed.
Dr. Agha Ismayilov, an efferentologist, told Oxu.Az that the patient's condition is satisfactory and she is receiving treatment at home.
The doctor noted that the problem is not the strawberry itself, but chemicals used during cultivation.
Ismayilov emphasized that fruits should be consumed in season and washed thoroughly.
Skin peeling indicates a severe allergy, possibly linked to Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Treatment includes plasmapheresis, a procedure that removes toxins from the blood.
