In Ganja, stray dogs attacked a 15-year-old schoolboy, causing injuries. The incident occurred on Dada Gorgud Street, 34B.
The teenager's family reported to Oxu.Az that he was attacked around 1:00 PM while returning home from school. They sought medical assistance at a hospital.
“My son managed to defend himself because of his age. If he were younger, the dogs would have torn him apart. Stray dogs roam the streets in packs, posing a danger, but no measures are taken,” the family complained.
The Ganja City Executive Authority stated that regular measures are taken to control the stray dog population. Twice a year, a veterinary campaign is held, sterilizing over 200 dogs. Additionally, about 350 stray dogs have been placed in a shelter in Garadagh district.
