Historian and publicist Tarana Jabiyev was the guest on Baku TV's "O Vakhtlar" program.
She shared childhood memories, her mother's role, and ancient traditions preserved in Baku villages.
After losing her father early, her mother became both parents to her.
She discussed Novruz traditions in Bulbula and other villages, bride-viewing ceremonies, bath culture, and family values.
"Women knew right from wrong and protected the family," she said.
She emphasized the importance of parental responsibility in modern upbringing.
"Forgetting past events can make us forgetful, and society won't forgive that," she added.
