A large area on Mahsati Ganjavi Street, 26th block, Khirdalan city, Absheron district, has been polluted with household waste for years.
Residents say the unsanitary conditions have persisted for over 15 years. The stench from the waste and stray animals gathering in the area make daily life difficult.
One resident says: 'I've lived here for three years and never seen it clean.' Another adds: 'The smell and mosquitoes make it impossible to stay home.'
The Absheron District Executive Authority stated that the area belongs to a legal entity and the company has been warned multiple times. Although waste containers are nearby, citizens dump trash on the road. Cleaning is delayed due to recent rains, but it will be done soon.
